AI as Reader, Author, and Reviewer: Risks, Rewards, and Real-World Use

At SSP’s 2026 New Directions Seminar, I joined a panel examining how AI is already active in the three core activities of scholarly communication: reading, writing, and reviewing. My remarks focused on AI as a reader of scholarly content, and the promise and peril inherent in this new technology.
